At Aarhus Clinic our purpose is to restore health with the
help of tests and therapies, which integrate the
conventional treatment with appropriate immuno-biologic
methods, og hereby maximize the body’s ability to heal
itself.
Aarhus Clinic has had a
groundbreaking influence on the Danish medical environment
since its start in 1989. The clinic was the first in
Denmark to introduce high dose intravenous vitamin C (IV-C)
as standard treatment for detoxification and cancer
therapy. It is still the only treatment center in
Scandinavia, where the German DMPS-mobilisation test (Dimaval
test) is used in the diagnosis of chronic mercury toxicity.
In addition, its work with EDTA therapy, one of the most
important medical developments in the last 40 years,
started already in 1989 to the benefit of Danish
cardio-vascular patients.
Thanks to a collaboration with medical laboratories in
Germany and the United States, Aarhus Clinic has at the
same time been able to introduce a series of laboratory
tests, based upon new and advanced technologies, which
serve the holistic perspective by: mapping immune function
with the help of an immune profile rapport; demonstrating
food allergy from blood serum; undertaking tests that
measure liver detoxification and intestinal conditions;
analyzing important cellular processes during chronic
illness.
Here one makes use of one of the basic principles in
holistic medicine; namely, that people demonstrate biochemical individuality. One can incur the same chronic
illness from different causes. Therefore, the course of
treatment must be individualized with tests, which pin
point where the weak link lies. You treat the person, so
to speak, not the disease.
In this context it is not a matter of indifference whether
the physicians view of human nature is reductionistic or
holistic. Experiences from medical practice have clearly
shown, that despite the many new medications and the
modern equipment in the hospitals, there are limits to how
far one can go in the treatment of chronic disease with
the reductionistic model of disease, in which the human
being is viewed as a biological machine rather than a
psychosomatic wholeness. As a rule medicine and surgery
only remove the symptoms, not the deeper lying causes,
which have given rise to the disorder.
Fortunately, medical research has developed in a more
holistic direction in recent years by concerning itself
more and more with these deeper lying causes of illness.
Here one thinks of nutritional factors, digestive
disturbances, free radical stress, metal toxicity, toxic
burdens, reduced detoxification ability, chemical
sensitivity, chronic stress, weakened immune function, and
hormonal dysfunction.
Dr. Kyle, and everyone that works at Aarhus Clinic, is
inspired by the holistic view of human nature, which sees
the human being as composed of body (matter) and soul
(mind); that the two are interactive and energetically
balanced in the living person. By giving the patient the
ability to to be a partner in his own healing process, the
healing powers of both doctor and patient are strengthened
in relation to the illness. |
