  LABORATORY TESTS

Many of the laboratory tests performed at Aarhus Clinic are done in cooperation with laboratories in Germany and USA. Our prices, which are sent by request, normally include the first consultation, the shipment of the sample and the subsequent review of the test report.

Cardio-vascular function Electrocardiogram (ECG) measures heart function at rest.
Stress-ECG measures heart function during exercise.
Doppler ankle pressure measures blood flow in the legs

Dimaval Challenge Test The body’s load of mercury and copper are determined with the help of Dimaval (DMPS), a metal binding agent, which is given as injection. Urine samples are taken before and after to test for metal toxicity.

Comprehensive Challenge Test Cadmium and lead are included together with mercury and copper in the Dimaval Challenge Test.

Dental Compatability Test Allergic reactions in relation to all known dental materials used by dentists in tooth repair are determined from a blood sample and described in a comprehensive written report.

MELISA Test for Diagnosis of Metal Allergy Metal sensitivity report in profiles of 10 to 20 metals commonly used in dental and medical practice are determined from a blood sample tested for lymphocytic (type IV allergy) reactions. MELISA stands for "Memory Lymphocyte Immuno-Stimulation Assay"

MELISA Test for Diagnosis of Borrelia (Lymes Disease) Infection with tick-borne Borrelia burgdoferi spirochete is determined from a blood sample by means of T-lymphocytic reactions that identify ambiguous cases, where characteristic symptoms are lacking, or hospital blood tests are suspected of being "false negative".

Food allergy (IgG) test Delayed (hours to days) food allergy reactions are measured in the form of high IgG4 antibody blood levels to specific foods.

Food allergy (IgE) test Immediate (within 3 hours) food allergy reactions are measured in the form of high IgE antibody blood levels to specific foods.

Full blood analysis Full blood (plasma and blood cells) is measured for the level of nutrient and toxic minerals with spectral analysis.

Organix metabolic profile Organix is a metabolic profile consisting of 47 organic acids excreted in the urine, which can help identify cellular bio-systems relating to chronic fatigue, depression, intestinal disorders, detoxification capacity, inflammation, chronic pain, DNA damage, free radical stress, obesity as well as cardio-vascular specific biomarkers.

ION profile of tests Individual Optimal Nutrition (ION) is the most comprehensive nutritional testing program available. It measures over 100 biochemical components. ION is composed of different metabolic and nutritional profiles – mineral, vitamin, amino acid, fatty acid, free radical, organic acids (organix) – in an individualized, bound, report booklet. Text and graphic presentations explain underlying problems. The report concludes with a recommended treatment program.

Inflammatory cytokine bloodprofil Inflammatory cytokines are destructive cell-signaling chemicals, which determine the level of inflammation during illness and can identify underlying factors driving the inflammatory process.

Immune profile The immune systems level of function is analyzed in relation to the number of immune cells and theirt degree of activation.

G-I Function Profile The G-I Function Profile is an invaluable tool for evaluating the health of the gastro-intestinal tract. A stool analysis is performed on the basis of highly precise DNA micro-assay technology. The test gives important clinical information on microbiological conditions (bacteria, yeast-fungus, parasites), inflammation, immune status, gluten allergy, digestion, absorption and biological markers of metabolic activity.

Liver detoxification profile Liver detoxification capacity for toxic chemicals and metabolic by-products is measured as well as markers for free radical stress.

Intestinal permeability test The small intestine’s effectiveness as a barrier to toxic compounds is measured as well as changes in the intestinal mucosa’s permeability in relation to the treatment program.

Hormone profiles The comprehensive female hormone profile measures østradiol, progesterone, testosterone, melatonin, cortisol og DHEA.

The comprehensive male hormone analysis measures testosterone, melatonin, cortisol og DHEA.

The male anti-aging profile measures testosterone, østradiol, PSA, melatonin, DHEA, SHBG and IGF-I.

The female anti-aging profile measures østradiol, progesterone, melatonin, TSH, IGF-1 and DHEA
